Period Dignity Project with Cardiff Council

AP Cymru – The Neurodiversity Charity was proud to support Cardiff Council in delivering the Period Dignity initiative for 2025, helping to ensure that individuals across our communities have equitable access to essential period products.

As an organisation committed to inclusion, wellbeing, and reducing barriers for neurodivergent individuals and their families, we recognise that period poverty can have a significant impact on confidence, health, and participation in everyday life. Through this collaboration, we were able to distribute free period products in a safe, accessible, and stigma-free way, ensuring that those who need support can access it with dignity.

This project has also provided an opportunity to raise awareness around the additional challenges neurodivergent individuals may face in managing periods, including sensory sensitivities, anxiety, and communication barriers. By working in partnership with Cardiff Council, we aimed to ensure that support was not only available, but inclusive, understanding, and responsive to diverse needs.

We are grateful for the opportunity to play a part in this important initiative, and we remain committed to supporting projects that promote equality, wellbeing, and dignity for all.

Together, we continue working towards a future where no one is disadvantaged by lack of access to essential care and support.
