A Space to Feel Understood
We were invited into a Cardiff school to hold a parent support session. A gentle, honest space where parents could talk openly, share experiences and connect with people who truly get it.
Parenting a neurodivergent child can feel overwhelming and isolating at times, but having the chance to sit with others who understand makes the world feel a little lighter.
No judgment. No pressure. Just real conversation, compassion and shared lived experience.
We’re so grateful to every parent who came along. Your courage, honesty and kindness created the atmosphere today. And to the school for recognising how important this support is.
If your school or community would like us to host something similar, we’d love to help create that same safe space for more families.
Please contact leanne@apcymru.org.uk for more information.
Thank You so much Tash!
We would like to thank Tash so much for generously donating 50 selection boxes for our families for Christmas. This will make such a difference to so many people. Thank you from us all.
Caerphilly Business Club Awards 2025
Karen and Tracey were delighted to attend the recent Caerphilly Business Club Awards 2025 to represent AP Cymru. We were up against some very tough competition, but were delighted to receive a Special Recognition Award for the work that the charity does.

Trustee of the Year
Congratulations to Ashlie Lewis for winning Trustee of the Year. She has been recognised for her trusteeship, notably her commitment and leadership in fostering meaningful, lasting change for neurodivergent communities in Wales through collaboration and partnership working.
By using her lived experience and empathy to create positive change, Ashlie has enhanced the opportunities available through AP Cymru to reduce social isolation and challenge stigma and barriers.
