AP Cymru - The Neurodiversity Charity is delighted to announce that two of its exceptional young volunteers, Cameron Jones and Lydia Parkin, have been nominated for the Young Volunteer Award (25 years and under) at the Cardiff Volunteer Awards. This prestigious nomination shows their dedication to AP Cymru who provide guidance and a supportive community for neurodivergent people and their families across Wales.
The importance of volunteers to AP Cymru and to the charity sector as a whole cannot be overstated. Volunteers bring so much and help to run programmes, engage with families and support events. Their commitment allows AP Cymru to support many people, making volunteers instrumental to the charity’s success.
Last year, AP Cymru won the Volunteer Group of the Year Award, which celebrated the brilliant efforts of its volunteer team.
Karen Mills, Chief Executive of AP Cymru said, 'Winning the Volunteer Group of the Year Award last year was a wonderful achievement that highlighted the strength, commitment and passion of our volunteers. This year, we are thrilled to see Cameron and Lydia nominated in the Young Volunteer category. Their hard work for AP Cymru is incredible and we are indebted to them. We are incredibly grateful to have them as part of our team and are proud of the difference they make each day'.
Karen added, 'Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. I encourage others who are passionate about neurodiversity and making a real difference to consider volunteering with us'.
